Miami Beach evening

Cigar smoke's
curled contours
wisp neon-edged breezes
skillfully.

Stucco and palm-tree hotels flock,
birds of a feather
aquas, pinks and pale yellows
to faithful ocean-prop backdrops.

A muted guitar somewhere
spills dusk afterthoughts,
sky-colors of sunset
that passed by here
some time ago.
