rock ponderings |
the rocks will just sit there |
and wondering why, |
or pondering gravely |
on gravity's theory |
while eons will pass |
won't do any good: |
as the rocks, still |
will just sit there |
you could conclude |
that the act of just
sitting |
is the nature of rocks |
more so than it is |
the nature of ants |
meandering past them |
(they don't have much time) |
or the nature of
lizards, |
(having displayed |
rock-like behavior |
soaking in sun) |
will still scamper off in the
evening |
| leaving behind |
| as they have been used
to |
| for eons of time |
| still sitting in silence, |
| the rocks... |
