illumination

right now,

i stand, my feet firmly

placed in the present

right now,

my words are profound,

and my writing

could guide the ones who come later

maybe, even, myself

right now,

my life is entwined

with so many others

and history's seen

as a meaningful path

defining humanity's striving

tomorrow,

all bets are off…
