Tribute When she was living my wife bought a half-moon table at a garage sale and afterwards made us a string of lights from drinking cups and Christmas bulbs that would light our campsite at night in the glow of sunflowers and daffodils beneath the summer moon spinning its stately circle, the Florida gulf beating its rhythm on the rocks behind our tent while I held her. When I moved to the California coast I made string lights from drinking cups the color of mustard blooms on the hillsides in springtime, and bought a half-moon table to celebrate her memory. © Jonathan Bohrn (2007)
